Amazing Wagyu burgers & tangy tasty sauce! After a long day of traveling from San Antonio to Austin with just a disappointing trip my spouse and I were hangry!! We had no idea what to until we came upon this Burger Bar now let me tell you.. Crispy fries with the right amount of salt (which a little salt is perfect for me) Food came out fresh and we are both satisfied!! We even witnessed the crew taking a picture since it was a cook's first day of working which was very heartfelt because not all managers are super nice & celebrate someone's first day.

Since I moved here, I've been trying different burgers in the downtown area. A few days ago, I was absolutely starving so I walked over to Burger Bar on Congress. When I first arrived, I wasn't sure how I was supposed to order. It was late afternoon, between lunch and dinnertime, so no one else was there ordering. I walked up, looking confused and the gentleman cooking the burgers completely ignored me. A friendly hello or even a glance in my direction might have been nice, but I then realized I had to place my order on the touch screen on the counter. I placed my order for the double Wagyu cheeseburger and an order of fries. Of course, when I went to pay, the screen asked for a tip. As someone who wants good karma in life, I added a tip, but I ended up regretting it. This is a prime example of "tip culture" getting out of control. I am 100% ready and willing to tip for good, friendly service, but I literally placed the order MYSELF and couldn't even get a slight smile out of the workers. My order was ready pretty quickly and the man put the bag on the counter. Again, no smile, no "thank you," no nothing. As I walked away, I got pretty annoyed in my hangry state that I had just tipped for this. I walked home quickly, which took me less than 10 minutes, and the burger and fries were still perfectly hot when I took them out of the bag. I would describe the burger itself as a very similar vibe to Shake Shack, but you can tell the ingredients are better. The fries were a cross between McDonalds and In n Out, which I enjoyed. I personally am past my clubbing days and late nights out, but I can imagine that this meal would be even more delicious late at night after drinking. It definitely hit the spot for me and left me full enough without that terribly overstuffed feeling. I'm not gonna take away stars for the service. I learned my lesson the first time about tipping here. The burger and fries are a solid 4 in my book, and I won't downgrade the rating completely because of the lack of service. If you want to eat somewhere where people are kind and friendly, there's a place on every corner for that. I won't be coming here for that reason; I'll only be back when I'm super hungry for a decent burger.

This place was so tasty! We had the veggie burger and the double bacon cheeseburger. Both were really flavorful! The fries were really tasty and super crispy. They are really more of a single portion so if you want to share I suggest getting two orders of fries. Bonus-open late!

One of the few places open late. Very cute vibe. Everything smells great. Food takes FOREVER though. Like kind of insane how long. There's also not that much seating just FYI. Chicken tenders were good but a little salty. Same with the burger. Fries taste like fresh Mcdonald's. My friend got the wagyu burger and said they felt quite ill the morning after but that could have been just from either late but take that as you will. Prices are a tad bit high but not bad

Thanks Kevin - the burger of the month - Patty Melt was delicious each day we ordered it! Great service. Easy steps from the JW Marriott.

This little burger shack has wagyu beef burgers that are melt in your mouth tastiness! Quick service, plenty of toppings available and some good bar seats and a few normal street side tables to Mack this tasty burger down!

This is the first time I ate an entire double burger. It was that delicious plus I was super hungry. The burger with bacon and caramelized onions were delicious.
